This page showcases the work that I did in my JOUR 390 class which taught me Multimedia Communication on various platforms -- including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

Blending - Buffalo

This was one of my first assignments that I did in photoshop. I really enjoyed it because I started to see all of the possibilities that were ahead of me in this class. In this assignment, I blended the buffalo with a background scenery of mountains. I wanted to emphasize the effect of the blending by making the mountains "furry" from the buffalo's hide.

Typography

I want to express myself with this assignment by writing my name as creatively and aesthetically as I could -- in a way that would express me in a font.

Gestalt Podcast Cover Art

This new assignment was focused on what we had recently learned about the principles of Gestalt. while you could make your own podcast cover, I chose to revamp one of my favorite podcasts, Song Exploder. I enjoyed seeing how I could reimagine it while still maintaining the essence of the original cover art.

Duck Infographic

This assignment challenged us to analyze data and then go into Adobe Illustrator and make 3 different infographics to convey that information. In my infographic, I decided to keep with a consistent green and teal theme and use bar graphs, pie charts, and split states to show the percentages of ducks in each state.

"Image in Text" Header

Initially, this assignment I was also going to use for my magazine spread (further down), but I ended up going with a different color theme. This was a fun and very useful assignment as I realized I can use this skill in many different ares of multimedia -- magazines, Youtube, and Influencing!

Illustrator

Logo From Scratch

This logo was inspired by a jewelry box I had growing up. I always loved the daintiness of it, and I have taken it everywhere with me -- so I felt it was only fitting for it to be the muse behind this logo. I wanted to build upon it and add flowers to add a brighter yet calming approach. In addition, the jewelry box has my initials inside, so felt it would be best to make that be the focal point.

Traveling Tourist

This final assignment was challenging us to accumulate everything we have learned over the course and on make a 5 page magazine spread -- the theme and articles were up to us! I chose to write about London since I am going to study abroad there this summer and took a lot of inspiration from Conde Nast and Pinterest.
